a few years ago i didnt really have very much direction in bmx (a little over deep but im going somwhere hold on) i would ride a bit of trails, a bit of park, and a bit of street but didnt really know much about any style untill one year when i went to the old King Of Concrete down southsea.
there was a man with a stall selling a couple different videos (and i meen vhs) one of them being something like cream (really cant remember) and another being NSF 2, well to cut a long story short my mate phil bought a copy of cream (cuz i told him to) and later changed his mind and swaped it for NSF 2.
This swap was the best idea in history we got back from southsea and the next morning i had bangs at the door followed by phil waking me up so i could watch quote "the best fucking shit you will ever see done on a bike!!!" at first i thought it was a dream, it was early, who wakes up this excited and this early?... a couple minutes pass and i realise phil is still in the room pointing at the tv so i get up.
i wake to an onslaught of O.G. bmx stunts the likes know one had seen before and my first visual of a crankflip (the most awsome trick of the day) opened my eyes to the ways you can ride street.
if you can get hold of a copy of NSF 2 and watch it in original crapy vhs quality its still good, if you cant be bovered with that streetphire are starting to upload loads of sections to there vimeo acount just like this one of the jimrik...

damn son thats one fine looking section, enjoy...

ok so not many updates recently cuz ive been trying to get some work done for uni (not gunna happen) and am pretty much just winding myself up so thought id drop a few little bits of entertainment out there for all to see...

so bmx dvd info time.

odyssey electronical, i was a little disappointed at the actual stuntage in this dvd but overall brilliant editing, graphics, and general feel make this a worthwhile buy, but at just under £20 its pretty pricey for a bmx dvd when on the other hand you have...

ride insight, my favorite dvd at the moment and the one to watch b4 i ride, dakota roche's section has been rinsed out on my dvd player with jared washington not far behind and with eye of the tiger playing to mike brenan who wouldn't be entertained, also as its like £7 cheaper than the odyssey dvd i would recommend insight over electronical if you haven't got the money for both.

so directions are go to TROWBRIDGE then find the TRAINSTATION if you cant find the SKATEPARK from there then theres sumit wrong with yah. if you look real close at the map you can see the old ramp, but the new park isnt on there yet...

took a trip up north this weekend to liverpool for the rampworxs all nighter jam and it was fucking ace! a whole lot of sleep deprivation and a high amount of riding hours meens that its monday and i am absolutly knackerd out.

highlights of the weekend where (can u guess?) Scotty dazzler and his 1 man show, dubs bars, huge grinds, twists and general badass malarky, but unfortunatly while trying to get an old fashion 3 twist over the driveway rail bent his knee out of shape and that ended his night. Nathan Williams was flying and iced the whole of the driveway rail (which i missed) and followed that up with a 180 from the driveway ledge over the rail to the bank on the other side?!?!? fucking knarly!!!

the nonstop vid premiere went off with a bang, although i couldn't see it from the back of the room i got to watch it the next mornin round Jason Phelans crib and i can tell u it aint long, but it bangs out like a muthabitch!

rode a bit of street the next day with Jason guiding us round and doing abit of filming, it rained for the whole time we where out but thought fuck it cuz not gunna be back in liverpool for a long time so we made the most of it then packed up are shit and took the long journey home.

all in all it was an awsome weekend and i gotta thank rampworx for the jam, Butlin and Matt for driving, and Jason and crew for letting us stay and showing us around, tah much boyos and when i get some cash im coming back cuz liverpool street is truly the shit!
